Apple hires Microsoft Xbox Exec
In a surprising move, Apple appears to have acquired the services of Richard Teversham, which used to be the European senior director of business, insights, and strategy for the Xbox. we wonder what input he’ll now have on the roadmap of iPhone gaming.
As reported by PCWorld, its not sure what direct role Teversham will have in relation to the iPhone, as his official title is an “education-related role” for now.
Apple have yet to confirm Teversham’s appointment to the board, but Microsoft says: ”Richard Teversham has taken a new opportunity outside of Microsoft.” They also said that he was an an ”integral part of the success of Xbox in Europe and in the U.K.”

Assassins Creed on iPhone
The big question really, is just how will his appointment affect the future of iPhone gaming? There are more than 9000 games in the iTunes App Store and close to 40 of the top 100 applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Those games are limited to simply levels. There also a massive push into the market with more sophisticated console games such as Metal Gear Solid, Assassin’s Creed already available for the iPhone, with plenty more to come this year.
