One good reason not to upgrade to iPhone OS 3.0 Beta

If you are not an iPhone app developer and have upgraded to OS 3.0 Beta, you are in your own as far as apple support. As we have noticed in a report on MacRumours forum, customers reporting hardware issues with their iPhone to the Apple Store will be politely turned away .

OK, it’s possible to downgrade to OS 2.2.1, but if for any reason that doesn’t get through, your are left with a brick!. There are  also rumours that some iPhone owners are purchasing OS 3.0 Beta from developers. Please don’t do this, as you don’t know what’s dubbed in that package. And again, there will be no support for your expensive shiny iPhone if you do.

We have seen Betas releases pretty quickly, so it’s only a few month and you will have the latest awaiting and supported OS 3.0.
