iPhone OS 3.1 Beta released to developers
Apple has realsed a new Beta of of the iPhone 3.1 OS along with software development kit. This released is intended to improve the functionality of iPhone 3GS Video, MMS Messaging and speech recognition.
According to Endgadget Mobile, iPhone 3.1 beta lets iPhone 3GS users save a copy of video clips taken with the device so that portions aren’t lost when editing video. iPhone 3.1 also includes a video API that lets third party applications access and edit iPhone videos.
MMS is enabled on OS 3.1 beta, but AT&T doesn’t supported it so this feature is disabled on their handsets.
A new feature on iPhone OS 3.1 is Bluetooth support for Voice Control, which allow iPhone 3GS user to speak commands o preform various tasks on the iPhone.
No indication whether OS 3.1 beta resolve the issue with overheating by some iPhone 3GS users.
