Google Latitude for iPhone

Google has worked “closely” with Apple to improve latitude functionality to be able to work with Safari to access location of the iPhone and allow for friends to share locations across, mostley the English speaking world. However, due to “limitations” of the iPhone not allowing background applications to run in the background, the iPhone user location is updated when the app is launched. Google Latitude is now available by browsing to google.com/latitude on iPhone browser for US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand with more planned on the way.
